Fishing the Cape in Harwich is an ORVIS ENDORSED OUTFITTER as well. Over ten full time professional guides waiting to serve you.

We also are home to the Orvis Saltwater Fly Fishing School for over a decade. This year we are very pleased to be conducting our school at the luxurious Chatham Bars Inn by one of the Cape's best beaches in Chatham.

Up-to-date fishing tackle for the area you are fishing, and fish you will be catching. See Fishing the Cape for the newest in fishing apparel including ORVIS clothing, accessories and flies.

We helped put the Monomoy area on the fly fishing map. While we didn't invent flats fishing, we certainly brought it to the Monomoy Flats and today employ ten local full- time guides who know these waters inside and out. All Fishing the Cape guides are ORVIS endorsed which guarantees they are professional, courteous, helpful and fun to be with.

During the off season, Fishing The Cape remains ready to serve your fishing needs. Whether you are planning a trip south or just want to be ready for next season, we are here to help.

 Stripers and Blues

on The Flats

on Both Sides Now

As of mid June there are now huge schools of stripers and blues on the flats from Monomoy to Brewster. Yes, the stripers  include "keepers" and there are blues over 30 inches as well.  Stop in when you're in the area and we'll gladly share more info with you. The bright, fresh run striper above was caught by our Manager, Chris, recently.  It's just one of many, many fish Chris has landed lately.

During the off-season, our guides and other local fishermen of note have been busy tying flies for us.  We've got some great locally tied clousers, gurglers, sand eels, half and halves, and crabs to help you hook them once you know where they are.  And, of course, we have dozens of imported patterns in all the right colors.  We also have the new Orvis Helios fly rods that make casting those flies sooooo much easier!

Almost all of our guides from 2007 are back and we continue to offer both boat charters and wade trips for flyfishers and spin tackle fishers of every skill level.  You can reach us at 508-432-1200 during the hours postd to the left.  Or, leave us a message during our off hours and we'll gladly call you back.

If you need some new tackle for the new season, we have some great savings at both Fishing The Cape and Fly Shop Closeouts (at Aarons of Eastham) right now.  For a quick link to both of these opportunities just click on the links in the above sentence and you will be magically transported to those web sites.

So, if we can help you book a trip or provide you with a rod or reel bargain, just give us a call at 508-432-1200 or stop in and say hello.
