several professional guides
waiting to serve you.
We also are home to the Cape Cod Saltwater Fly Fishing
School in partnership with Hardys, a fly fishing institution
for over 100 years. This year we are very pleased
to be conducting our school at the luxurious Chatham
Bars Inn by one of the Cape's best beaches
in Chatham.
We helped put the Monomoy area on the fly fishing map. While we
didn't invent flats fishing, we certainly brought it to the Monomoy
Flats and today employ ten local full- time guides
who know these waters inside and out. All Fishing the Cape guides are ORVIS endorsed which
guarantees they are professional, courteous, helpful and fun to
be with.
During the off season, Fishing The Cape remains ready to serve
your fishing needs. Whether you are planning a
trip south or just want to be ready for next season, we
are here to help.

Stripers
and Blues Seem Bigger on Average This Year

The photo above of Capt. Greg and
Hank and Hank's bass was taken mid-July this year.
The rips were really working and the striped bass
were readily taking. This 46 inch beauty was landed
on a fly rod . We seem to be hearing
from most anglers that the stripers, especially, are
larger on average than recent years!
Fishing
The Cape has helped anglers to catch them no matter
what the size for about 16 years now. We can book
a guide for you, we can help you with your cast, we
can assist with fly selections, or even sell you a new
rod and reel outfit. Just call or stop on by and
we'll be happy to help.
If you have any questions at all or
would like to book a charter, just give us a call at 508-432-1200
and we'll be happy to help. We are currently open
Monday through Saturday, from 9AM to 5PM and Sunday
from 11AM to 5PM eastern time.
If that doesn't fit your schedule, leave us a
message and we will call you back. Or, send us
an e-mail to: info@fishingthecape.com.
New and Old
Fishing Regulations for
Massachusetts
With the advent of the new National
Fishing Regulations for saltwater fishing, there have
been a lot of questions regarding their application
for fishing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In
an effort to shed some light on these regulations we
have included a National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration (NOAA) link below on the subject.
Following that link is a link to the Massachusetts
Wildlife web site for information on freshwater licenses
